Spaniards see the internet as a secure environment



The majority still do not read the terms and conditions



    Almost half of Spanish Internet users are confident or internet generates trust, a percentage believes that the internet is more secure. However, the use of antivirus falls, although seven out of ten computers is protected, according to the National Observatory of Telecommunications and Information Society (ONTSI), managed by Red.es.

Security measures around the network remain the pending task of the Spanish. 33.4% of mobile users say they use reduced permissions while surfing the Internet, while in fact 92.3% use them, so most of them are not aware of its use.

    Regarding the habits of the users, the levels of adoption of risk behaviors remain stable with respect to the previous semester, and 42.8% believe that it carries out dangerous actions. Regarding the use of P2P networks, 60.7% of those who use it analyze all the files with antivirus, and 69.1% do not share all the files of their devices through this network.

56.8% of users in Spain declare that they do not read the terms of use and legal aspects when registering with Internet service providers.

With respect to direct download, 52.7% checked that the content downloaded was true and 46.4% analyzed the files after downloading, values ​​that remain stable in the previous study. 81.7% of users pay attention to the steps in the installation of the programs they download, and two out of three verify the veracity of the software.

Regarding Internet banking operations, 90.3% closed the session after finishing the operation and 86.3% avoided doing it from shared computers. On the other hand, ONTSI reports that 63.7% of social network users have a private profile only accessible to their contacts.
