Sony hits with 'Spider-Man' in a conference with no surprises

'Days Gone', 'God of War' and 'Monster Hunter World' have been some of the most interesting titles of the event

Sony has left, for the second year in a row, the event that organizes annually as a prelude to E3, which are the games that speak for themselves. Unfortunately, and as has happened with the Microsoft conference, a problem that is increasingly present in the industry has become visible: developments are becoming more expensive and require more time, which is why it has become almost norm that the games that were announced last year at this time have returned to be the protagonists of the evening. Yes, now with dates on the horizon.

'Spider-Man', the game developed by Insomniac Games on the occasion of the next Marvel movie, has undoubtedly been the most impressive of the night. Not only because the spirit of the character has been captured for the first time - as in comics, spidermen are allowed here to do their gracietas while distributing tow - but also because the setting of a colorful and vibrant New York, the graphic section and the abilities of the arachnid superhero are collected to perfection.

The demonstration on the stage placed the intrepid young man finishing with the enemies in a hundred different ways: by spider webs, with acrobatics, using the elements of the stage ... And finally the action ended in the unrestrained pursuit of a helicopter by Manhattan. The game will hit the market in early 2018.

They also repeated 'Days Gone', by Bend Studios, and 'God of War'. The first is a game that takes place in a vast open world ravaged by zombies. Last year he already pointed to a curious mechanic: the living dead attack in hordes, so escaping from their jaws is often complicated. What has been seen on this occasion is something more special. The title will bet on stealth. Thus, it has been possible to see how the protagonist got rid of several human enemies placing traps and how he can take advantage of the threat of the zombies in his favor.

No date yet, the truth is that the graphic jump that the game has given this year has been important. The violence is even more disturbing, although the sad palette of colors makes a little bit a result that would not be out of place with the proposals of Naughty Dog, the study behind '

Of 'God of War', on the other hand, nothing bad can be said. The game of Sony Santa Monica will go on sale in early 2018 and unlike the previous installments of the series, will bet on enhancing the narrative element through the son of Kratos, who will accompany him in the adventure. However, it is necessary to make clear that the cruelty and the gore element of the game are still there.

The minutes of game that showed during the appointment transported the spectators to dozens of different places, rich in details and spectacular, in which Kratos gave free rein to his most violent self. One wonders if those changes of rhythm will fit properly.

Unlike the previous titles, 'Monster Hunter World' of the Japanese Capcom, is not an exclusive of Sony. The title was presented during the conference in scoop but it will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, also at the beginning of 2018. It was not the only game that Capcom took to the Sony event. 'Marvel vs Capcom Infinite' will go on sale on September 19 for the same platforms.

Already covered the quota of multiplatform Japanese games, it was time to see two western titles also multiplatform. 'Call of Duty WWII' was shown during the conference. After many fights with fictitious wars in the not so distant future, the title of Activision of action in the first person returns to the Second World War and does it with a worthy facelift. It will be on November 3. Just two months before, on September 6, will go on sale 'Destiny 2', developed by Bungie. The latter will have exclusive content for PlayStation 4.

But there were more exclusives for Sony consoles. 'Uncharted - The Lost Legacy', an expansion for the latest 'Uncharted' that can be played without having the original game will hit stores on August 23 and 'Horizon: Zero Dawn', the great success of Guerrilla, will receive its first expansion, 'The Frozen Wilds', this year.

Blue Point, together with Sony Japan, prepares the, attention, second remastering of 'Shadow of the Colossus', the ICO Team game captained by Fumito Ueda, which originally appeared on PlayStation 2 and which was already remastered by the same studio for PlayStation 3. Finally, there was room to show more fragments of 'Detroit: Become Human', the new David Cage title, which still has no publication date. There were, however, important absences like ' The Last of Us 2 'or the latest installment of' Gran Turismo ',' GT Sport '. We will have to wait for the PlayStation Experience.
